Privacy Policy — PingVibe Alerts

Last updated: August 12, 2026

PingVibe Alerts ("the app", "we", "us") is a Shopify app that sends real-time store notifications — new orders, cancellations, fulfilment updates, and low-stock alerts — to Telegram accounts chosen by the merchant. This page explains what data the app accesses, why, and what happens to it.

What data we access

When a merchant installs PingVibe Alerts, the app requests the following Shopify permissions: read_orders, read_fulfillments, read_inventory, and read_products. Through these, the app receives order and customer information via Shopify webhooks, including:

Why we access it

This information is included directly in the Telegram alert message sent to the merchant's connected Telegram account(s), so the merchant can identify and act on orders, cancellations, shipments, and low stock without opening Shopify Admin.

How this data is stored

Order and customer details are processed in memory to build the Telegram message and are not written to our database. Our database only stores minimal operational records — merchant ID, Shopify order ID, order total, and the timestamp an alert was sent — with no customer name, email, or address fields. Once an alert is sent, the message itself lives in the merchant's own Telegram chat history, which the merchant controls directly.

Who can see this data

Only the Telegram account(s) the merchant has explicitly connected to their store receive alert data. We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Data retention and deletion

Because customer data isn't persisted in our database, there is nothing further to delete on our end beyond the minimal operational log entries described above. If a merchant uninstalls the app, their store's connection records and settings are deleted from our systems. PingVibe Alerts implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact) to handle data subject requests in accordance with Shopify's requirements.

Merchant responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for the Telegram account(s) they connect and for managing who has access to those chats. Removing a Telegram connection inside the app immediately stops that account from receiving further alerts.
